Bledisloe Cup Match – Tokyo

A great opportunity to measure progress for the RugbyWorld Cup
While on the surface nothing rides on the result of the Bledisloe Cup match to be held in Tokyo tonight in reality a great deal rests on the shoulders of coaches and players alike. Two years out from the world cup the course should be set to claim the prize and no prisoners should be taken by either team I their quest to overcome the opposition and win the match at hand in both convincing and devastating style.
New Wallaby coach Deans is now not so new and has had a little time to stamp his mark on a Wallaby team that has not yet produced the goods; at least I’m sure that’s what Deans thinks. Henry on the other hand has no option; both he and his team have to make their mark tonight and cement their authority over the Wallaby team leaving it in no doubt the road ahead will be dogged by the impenetrable All Black spirit of old; for this must be the outcome if we are to regain the confidence in our national team that was a hallmark of their play prior to the professional era.
My money’s on an All Black victory tonight; I hope they don’t let me down! We need the win to kick off an exciting series of matches as the All Blacks match up against Wales on 7th November, Italy on the 14th, England on the 21st, France on the 28th and the Barbarians on the 5th December. A clean sweep is what we, the fans are looking for. There should be no excuses just bustling winning action that our boys given the correct disciplines are certainly capable of producing for us.
Go to it boys, set the scene now for what’s ahead back home in 2011 when you win back the Rugby World Cup that is so dear to the hearts of all your diehard supporters.
